We have now been running the Seeblick Amrum in the fourth generation – and still with the same passion. Good news: the next generation is already in the starting blocks. With personality, fresh ideas and the goal of making things a little better every day.
Our path: A lake view back. And forward.
It all started in 1913 with a small guesthouse that still advertised „running water". Over four generations, this guesthouse has grown into a pleasure and spa resort – house by house, idea by idea. What has never changed: the lake view does not belong to any corporation or investor, but to a family that lives and works here and knows its guests personally. In 2007, Gunnar and Nicole Hesse took over the property.
At the Seeblick Amrum, past, present and future flow together: the house has been in family hands for over 100 years. Then as now, the ethos is clear: to create a place where you will find sincere hospitality, personal service and absolute relaxation.

Angelika Hesse
For many years, Angelika Hesse shaped and developed the Seeblick. With courage and vision, she drove modernisation forward – a milestone being the construction of the present main building in the 1980s. Despite her retirement, she remains closely connected to the Seeblick and supports us with great attention to detail.
Nicole Hesse
Nicole Hesse brings her experience from the hotel and catering industry to the island – and runs the establishment with a great intuition for people. For her, the team is at the heart of everything: appreciation, unity and an open ear shape everyday life at the Seeblick – serving as the foundation for everything.
Gunnar Hesse
In the kitchen, Gunnar Hesse combines talent, experience, creativity and a penchant for regionality. Together with his team, he continuously develops new dishes, drawing inspiration from the island – from wonderful herbs found in the dunes to top-quality local produce.
Jannis & Jule Hesse
The next generation is already waiting in the wings. Jannis and Jule share a passion for gastronomy and the hotel industry. What their future role at the Seeblick will look like remains open. In any case, the fire is already burning.

The sea, beach and island are constantly changing, and for us, too, change is a natural constant. We question things, rethink old ways and make targeted changes – always with one clear goal in mind: for you to feel completely at ease.
